about
Song n°5 from my Living Room Sessions!
For that one I was inspired by an episode of Grey's Anatomy (Season 14, Episode 10). The episode is called "Personal Jesus", hence the name of the song, and is about a doctor whose faith is challenged by the loss of several patients in the course of one day.
lyrics
Father what did I do wrong?
For you were with me all along
Why have you forsaken me
Your faithful servant I believed
Yes I've prayed, prayed, prayed
I've prayed for better days
And now I sing, sing, sing my pain away
Although I know, I know, I know
There's always a new tomorrow
In spite of change, change, change
I kept the faith
What it's all supposed to mean?
All the loss, the pain, the suffering
And I try to make sense of it
For my sanity
Yes I've prayed, prayed, prayed
I've prayed for better days
And now I sing, sing, sing my pain away
Although I know, I know, I know
There's always a new tomorrow
In spite of change, change, change
I kept the faith
I don't know anymore
Why do light and dark coexist
When the bad keeps standing over us
I don't trust anymore
When you reward all the sinners
And the good keeps being silenced
Yes I've prayed, prayed, prayed
I've prayed for better days
And now I sing, sing, sing my pain away
Although I know, I know, I know
There's always a new tomorrow
In spite of change, change, change
I kept the faith
But is it all worth it?
