about
Final track from my 2018 Living Room Sessions.
I decided to add more to the challenge and write this last song in french ....and on the piano!
I am most certainly not a piano player so I basically downloaded the chord charts from the internet and learned how to play the chords on the piano. What would have taken less than 5 minutes to a proper piano player took me a good few days just to coordinate both my left and right hands but I'm glad I managed to do it :)
This song is about having a winter heart = a divided heart. The winter and holiday season can be blissful but also very difficult for a lot of people. And I wanted to write a winter song that would represent these feelings because it's not always as joyful as it seems.
lyrics
Virevoltent mes peines
Et je suis le cortège
Saison belle et cruelle
Sans détour
Elle entraine dans ses rituels...
Mon cœur d'hiver (x2)
Et les rires qui se font entendre
Dans la nuit profonde
Des souvenirs glacés
Sous son air hostile
Le charme persiste
Mais son élégance a souvent un prix
L'hiver me rappelle ces instants...
...Où les sentiments s'emmêlent
ça tourne
Virevoltent mes peines
Virevoltent mes peines
Et je suis le cortège
Saison belle et cruelle
Sans détour
Elle entraine dans ses rituels...
Mon cœur d'hiver (x4)
L'hiver apaise et tourmente
